Ocean Week Canada 2024

Join us for this web-based story following the life of Sarga, an American eel who travels over 4,000 km from where she hatched in the Atlantic Ocean to Ottawa, her home. 

Launched for World Ocean Day, 2024, The Story of Sarga is a story you tell yourself – or have read to you! – as you scroll on your computer or tablet, about the life cycle of an American eel, and her connection to the global ocean.

The Story of Sarga has been recognized as an Endorsed Activity under the United National Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development
